Austin’s affordable housing community is navigating a changing market as the City rethinks development incentives, density, entitlements, local housing funds, and property-tax exemptions. At the same time, state policy is playing a larger role in land use, development regulation, and the tools available to local housing entities. This panel will examine what those shifts mean for affordable housing in Austin today and how the 2027 legislative session could further reshape the local landscape.
