Dallas LAMA Spring Mixer | Missing Middle Found: The Rise of Nontraditional Affordable Housing in Texas

Thursday, March 26, 2026
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (CDT)

Persimmons Bar & Grill at Grapevine Golf Course

3800 Fairway Drive Grapevine, TX 76051-2027 United States
Category: Networking Events

As the Texas housing crisis evolves, so must our strategies for development. Join TAAHP’s DFW LAMA for an in-depth look at the rise of "nontraditional" affordable housing models. From the Westmoreland Townhomes by Lincoln Avenue Communities to Ojala’s cottage-style Skyline Prairie in Fort Worth, developers are proving that density doesn't have to look like a standard mid-rise.

This panel will explore the design, operational, and financial nuances of build-to-rent (BTR) and townhome models. We will examine how these developments leverage housing tax credits and other public-private partnership tools in making these innovative projects pencil out. Attendees will gain a blueprint for diversifying their portfolios while meeting the growing demand for "attainable" single-family-style living.

Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be included.

Hosted by TAAHP’s Dallas-Fort Worth Local & Municipal Affairs (LAMA) group, and with thanks to our event sponsors:
