Tax credit and affordable community valuation assessments in Texas are inconsistent at best and indifferent at worst. While there are appraisal districts with good models, most do not follow a consistent methodology that property owners can count on to plan for tax obligations.  What is common are annual tax protests which cost valuable time and resources to negotiate fair cap rates and their resulting valuations.  Join developers Avis Chaisson and Blake Hopkins as well as attorney Cynthia Bast to understand the legal and ownership challenges for tax credit properties in Texas.
